Started to make some colourful skulls over the weekend based on the highly decorated ones you see in Mexico, used to celebrate the Dia De Los Muerto or Day Of The Dead. The festival takes place on the 1st and 2nd of November, All souls Day and All Saints Day. On these days it is believed that the dead return to visit the living. Will probably turn these into brooches, but was thinking of making a few more and maybe hanging them on a mobile as well.
